Switch configurators used to have an ‘executable path’ setting where you could see which version was actually being run. The apps no longer have this. I am running Switch 25.11 and the pdftoolbox app V28, we just updated to pdftoolbox V17, V16 is still installed. Will the app automatically use the latest version without the need to restart Switch or reboot? How can we check which version is being triggered?
Don’t worry 0- found it via Switch logging which reports ‘Found pdfToolbox Version: 683’ and I see that 683 corresponds to 17.0.683 which is my latest install
Switch apps made with Node.JS don’t have that property to set the path to application. The latest apps for pdfToolbox search the system for a version to use.
But there is a property “Application path” in the app itself where you can set the path manually. For example if you want to use an older version. The drawback is that you have to set this property for each instance of the app.
