I have a page with 2 mm bleed and when I set the check “Bleed missing for page” to the value 1mm it still give me an error that it is missing bleed.
The trigger values are ***Bleed present: T: 5.66929 pt, R: 5.66929 pt, B: 5.66929 pt, L: 5.66929 pt
With regards to the description of the check for “Bleed missing for page” this property can detect when a PDF has less than the specified amount of bleed. It does not only create Hits for not existing bleed, but also for insufficient bleed.
In your testfile with 2 mm bleed it won’t create any hits when checking for 2 mm or even 1 mm.
When we set the value for an expected bleed of 3 mm or above it creates a Hit and will report in the trigger values the current bleed. So 1 mm bleed wouldn’t be not enough if 2 mm is needed.
Yes I understand that but if I set it to check at 1.5 mm it still give a hit that it miss bleed. But the bleed goes to 2mm or more but not out to the bleedbox at 3 mm.
If I reduce the Bleedbox to 1.5 mm the bleed the file has is outside of the bleedbox and I set the value to 1.5 or 1 mm for the “Bleed missing for page” it still give a hit that bleed is missing.
Yes that is what I expected but it give hits in both cases, “True” or “Not true”
And you can see there in the log that it says “Bleed present” and the bleed is larger than those values.
Bleed missing for page (1.5mm) Hit - is true.kfpx (3.8 KB)
It should not possible to get the same Hit (or not) when one check is configurated with “is true” and another check is configured with “is not true”. Examples attached. One create a Hit the other not. Maybe you could send us the used check, as the screenshot does not show the “is not true’” or “is true” configuration.
It might be that you are using pdfToolbox 16.0.656 there was indeed an issue that could be fixed with pdfToolbox 16.0.657. See: callas software ••• PDF works!
So we recommend to update to the last version of pdfToolbox 16.0.
This fix is also included in the current pdfToolbox 16.1.
